Damaged Crankcase Position Sensor

Will a damaged Crankcase Position Sensor cause a car not to start?

When I was getting my exhaust done, the muffler shop melted the connector.

Re: Damaged Crankcase Position Sensor

No, the muffler shop broke the connector. It looks like he tried to weld the pipe coming from my wastegate while it was still on the car. I could not drive the car home from the shop beacuse it will not run.
