AD22VF brake upgrade questions?

Im putting the nx2000 brake upgrade on my 91 se-r and was wondering if there was anyway to upgrade the rear brakes as well? Can you take the orginal sentra front rotors/calipers and rotate them to fit on the rear?

I was also wondering if grinding 2mm off the outside edge of the caliper is really necessary, if I running stock wheels on my sentra?

I need to use the dust plates of the nx2000 in order to fit the larger rotor correct?

can I use more sentra Master Cylinder for a stiffer pedal? or do you guys think putting the nx MC is the best way to go?

I read the article on se-r.net but figured asking a few more questions wouldnt hurt, thanks to all who reply.

Re: AD22VF brake upgrade questions?

Yes (but most people leave it alone, or just use an nx or altima mc), I dont think so, yes its necessary, just trim your old dust plate, and im not sure what your asking.

You can upgrade the rear brakes to Maxima rear brakes. Do a search on this one for more info. However, with just NX brakes up front, why would you want to upgrade the rears? The rears are the same between the SE-R and NX. The fronts do like 80% of the braking anyway.

Well... The alternative is to run a wheel spacer, or run NX2000 wheels.

Just cut off the stock dust shields and be done with it. It doesn't do anything, anyway.

Doesn't matter, really. It's been said that going to an NX master cylinder makes a firmer pedal, but it's nothing that steel braided brake lines and good brake fluid bleeding couldn't fix.

If you really want better rear brakes, there's numerous threads about altima master cylinder & maxima rear calipers/rotors. I've done the NX2k brake upgrade with stock se-r wheels and grinding is a pain, Im still not done, I recommend either nx wheels or b14 wheels.
