Need help understanding FPR, Fuel Injectors, and Fuel lines.
Im gonna go turbo soon and im now getting parts for it. I want to jump on the group deal for the FTF rails but im not quite sure how it works. What does a regulator do? is it a valve that will allow you to adjust the volume of fuel being delivered through the fuel line? Also what is the "stock FPR" i didnt know they came with a stock one.

The FTF fuel rail is used to encorporate the MSD top feed fuel injectors to our motors (the stock rail is made for side feed injectors). The fuel pressure regulator (FPR) regulates the pressure of fuel in your system. Your stock one is non adjustable (its set at 3-bar). The Nismo FPR is adjustable so you can fine tune your pressure. A Nismo FPR is essential if your going to be running a 4-bar fuel pressure setup (Which your JWT ECU or Emanage or whatever will have to be set for).
1bar = 14.7PSI.

ok question 2. As i was browsing Ebay, i found some MSD 50# injectors, they stated "low independence." In that case im assuming there are high independce injectors. What is the diffrence and what would i need for my application.
^^ What he said. Your best bet is to wait until FTF comes out with the even newer style that will allow the use of the stock or Nismo FPR. Otherwise, you will need to spend extra on either an external FPR or the adapter that FTF has for the stock/Nismo units.

P.S. thanx for the reply
You may need to solder in resistors for those. I am not sure as i've never done it before. I will leave that question to someone else

Wont i need a new adjustable FPR anyways, or is the stock one good for boost? And also is the nismo FPR supperior or is it just easier/cheaper to install. I do see a lot of people using the Nismo unit.
Can anyone do a diagram of how the system is underhood. heres my understanidng:
Gas Tank>Fuel Pump>Fuel Line> Fuel Filter>Fuel Line>FRP>Fuel Rail>Injectors.

Actually the JGY rail has this fitting and they also sell it seperate as well.

Stock is fine. I have had the stock one on for 10k miles and LOTS of boost, no problems.
Gas Tank > Fuel Pump > Fuel Line > Fuel Filter > Fuel Rail / Injectors > FPR > Fuel line > Gas Tank.
Stock is fine for boost if you are running a 3bar program.
As far as low and high impedence injectors go, there is a driver circuit on our ECU that controls the injector with pulses. Our ECU is setup for high impedence injectors so if you get low impedence injectors then you have to use a resistor pack to increase the resistance in the circuit. NOW, MSD does sell high impedence 50lb injectors and there are a good half dozen places out there that offer 72lb and 96lb injectors in high impedence also. the MSD 72lbers are low impedence and require resistors.
You will need a higher output fuel pump and that can often times push the stock regulator past it's ability and you will get a couple extra psi of fuel pressure. JWT already tunes rich and with that added in you will be overly rich (often seen with T25 setups). I say get a nismo fpr with your new rail and pump right off the bat.

Thanks for the info guys. i havent checked on this post for a while.
So unburned fuel gets sent back to the pump?
And if i get the FTF group buy rail ill have to get extra lines to attach the FPR right, unless i get the adapter that is sold seperately like hazar_SER stated? And the stock FPR is fine but Nismo is recommended because ill need a stronger Fuel Pump also.
