JWT ECU question

how do I really know I have an ECU from JWT or stillen in my car, I have a 93 SE-R 5 speed, I took it out today to look at it and it doesn't have any stickers or anything like that, just has one sticker that says SE-R M/T and thats it.

I know they say the car feels stronger above 5000rpm and will pull to 8000rpm and my car does that. my se-r is mostly stock with the ECU and pop charger on it, and thats it, no aftermarket exhaust on it.

Just feels like my car is not as strong on the lower rpms. I had a 92 before and it felt really strong, I do have the early 93 car with the hi-port with 7500 rpm factory redline. Anyone got some thoughts?

You need to sell your JWT ecu to your buddy Rob. That is the only way to solve the problem.

Pull the ecu out of the car. Open up the top. Be careful not to strip the screws, they're really soft. If you do no worries, they drill out easy (don't ask how I know). If you see only one main board, you have a regular ecu. If you see second board on top attached by a cable, you have a JWT ecu. The JWT board will have JWT written on it. Also, if you careully flip it over you will see one big chip, thats the new rom. That will have a sticker on it with some writing. Write down what it says and call JWT, they will tell you exactly what the ecu is tuned for.

if it revs to 8k, should be JWT. what was the redline on the classics? 7.5k wasn't it?
