walbro fuel pump install kit??

i could go right now and pick up a walbro 255 pump from performance nissan (www.performancenissanparts.com) but they only sell the pump! they dont sell it with the install kit. so my question is, do i need the install kit? is it nessacery, or just something to make the install and my life much easier to deal with? i really dont feel like ordering a kit on-line and having to wait for it.

You need the kit. It has an adaptor and filter:

Here's a picture from my site.

The ring and washer are indicated because my kit didn't have the ring, and I used the one from the original pump. The washer needed to be trimmed to fit.
