Some hesitation

Sometimes my stock de has a slight hesitation between 2-3k. It revs good until 2k and revs all the way to redline just fine after that. The car has all new stuff new plugs wires fuel pump, filter, etc etc. It idles fine and all im just curious y it does this. the timing is fine and the problem does not alwaya occur. THe fuel pump is a new stock nissan unit.

do a search for hesitation, this has been discussed alot, and it seems to be a common problem on alot of sr20's, and i dont think anyone has ever found out how to stop it fully.

time to check your sensors, CTS, KNOCK SENSOR, TPS

check your ECU

i am currently trying to fix mine, i have the same problem, at light throttle between 2-3k mostly when the car is warm, and my fuel cut is also at 7k rpm now, when before it was like 7600, all this happened after i swaped my engine

i have been diagnosing everything, i *** my ignition is good, and i know its getting ample fuel, as a matter of fact its running rich, after replacing a few bad parts here and there regrounding my MAF checking tps voltage, setting timing back to base, its runs a bit better but the hesitation is still there, when i checked my computer i got codes 33 & 34 for knock and O2 sensors, so im going to replace those, check the wires and see if that fixes the problem

My new one is doing the same thing...On my old one(t bags sold it to me... )it was the infamous EGR problem...On my new one it still does it with the BPT disconected...Ive already regrounded the MAF and i believe the throttle body was cleaned already...New O2 sensor also...It was stock when i got it and put the cold air on a week ago...I'm figuring mine is EGR related...It also does it when it wants to...Sometimes a lot and other times not at all...Good luck

I forgot to mention my white one always had a hesitation when i was light on the throttle slowing down or coming to a stop...Never could figure out what it was

if you are like some of us that dont have an EGR change your o2 sensor. my car did the same thing at 2-3k rpms, but after that it would drive fine. Another sign is if it gets bad gas milage. When i replaced the o2 sensor my car drove so smooth and i got a lot better gas milage. It was just easier for me to find out what it was because I took the o2 sensor out of my brothers sentra and put it in mine and it drive nice, and then i put mine in his car and it drove like sh*t. lol I should have just left mine in his car and stole his
