hey i was wondering about the KYB GR2's. does anyone own them and know of they are good. better yet, has anyone used them with ground control coil overs? also, are these adjustable? or is that the AGX's?
I had a set of GR2's installed under ProKit springs, ran that way for 3 years and 50,000 miles. I took them off (HORRIBLE ride, can't believe I lasted that long...) and the struts were still doing their job as best as they could. They are now on my friend's NX.

Stock struts dont even do there job well after 50K. They go so gradually no one notices the change. Then the get new ones and then think they went to heaven.
I ran the GR-2's with Prokits for over 2 years and it was fine for the street. Was not good for autocrossing and was just mediocre at the track. Fairly decent replacement strut though. AGX = mo betta.
GR-2s are almost like a stock replacement get the AGX. i have agx's with my GC 350/300 and the car rides pretty good and handles great

If you don't want to run a high spring rate then get the GR2's. They're nothing special though so don't kid yourself. Definitely don't get them for coilovers though. They will wear out very quickly with high spring rates and you'll be left with blown dampers. AGX's are very stiff but will hold up to the higher spring rates like Hyperco Gen 2's. If you can I would really recommend the shortened Koni's as those have better damping and give you back the suspension travel that you really need.
