Ok. I didnt realize the car had to be running to check the head temp sensor.
With sensor unplugged, the fans get juice. With it plugged in, no juice. Does this mean the temp sensor is stuck in "cold" like Miko said and it needs to be replaced?

Also, in
this link, Andreas mentioned something about unplugging the temp sensor would retard the timing. I recently discovered while trying to set the timing that I couldn't get it into timing mode. Would a bad temp sensor cause this. Would a bad temp sensor retard the timing like it does when it is unplugged?
