hi am new on here has anyone used these valves on their gtir? which are better for power sodium filled (better cooling) or stainless steel (more durable) not sure which ones to go for, also how much are these form farrea, i have emailed them direct but get only silence!! what do people think of titanuim valves (lighter but expensive) .
muleman:
97 200sx SE,electric water pump, GT35R,PROTECH equel lenght manifold
stage v portedhead, ferria over sized valves ,je 10.4.1, cunningham rods ,total seal rings ,255 ,72#, o2 stage 2 ,Q45 t/b (90mm baby)
jun,clutch net pp with 4 puck ,3in exhaust,,jwt brain,PAR SYNCRO set,welded case
spearco ,kyb,S3,
What do you think of the cunningham rods as compared to the Crower's. Even just fom a visual.
What model head are yu running.
What model block. Reason I ask is about the pistons from JE for the DET. I have 12:1 JEs for my DET 78E block, but the oil jet notch in the skirt needs to be notched to fit propperly around the jet.
JE are working on some new 13:1 for me with a comletely new design, so instead of having to send them back a re-notched piston, If I could get some additional info it would be great.
cunighamm rods are stronger and more money
i am running a de head stage v porting over sized valves
these are my pistons
i am running a us de block no squirters
Nice pictures. You guys normally cut the valve guide out completely from the port.
I'll surf out the Cunningham's.
Those pistons are completely different from my JE slugs.
Do you know your head chamber volume: 46cc with a 0.034" head gasket?
Just looking at the head and assuming the pistons come to deck height.
Thanks.
I was looking at Titanium valves for my motor. But I think to rev to 9000rpm s/s or OEM with good set up would be fine enough. The hp gain from lighter valves I would guess to be marginal, the advantage for inertia loads and rpm would be huge. But again I think the cost is prohibitive unless you plan on spinning up past 9000 continuously.
Also do not know if you'd have to change guides to prevent scuffing or gauling the titanium stems???
hi muleman are your valves modified at all, i mean what cuts do you have on valve face? are they waisted? (been told this not recommended on standard valves?) also the det head on your is slightly different to the gtir head which has more round combustion chamber shape not sure how big i can go as the valve sit rather close to the chamber edge!. 13.0 rather high for forced det isn,t?
