i just bought a red 94 SE-r. and when i full throttle, it hesitates to rev. its like a slow rate of revving...it feels like a have a clogged fuel filter. but i just replaced it and it still keeps on doing it. i am thinking it could be 2 things, ether a vaccum leak or my injectors are not opening corrctly. also **** the OHM reading on stock injectors?..if ne 1 could help that'll be good thanks.
mines does that once in a blue..sounds like a bad injector.take it to a shop and plug it into a scanner.i also replaced the fuel filter.ill let u know cause im going tomorrow

I think the the injectors are 9-10 ohms. Can't remember. You can search for it. Your problem could also be a lack of spark; so spark plugs, wires, or distributor cap and rotor.

ight thanks....yea i checked my spark plugs and they are foul as hell. another question i have is i have a rubber line running from the back right side of the block coming upward. It leads to nothing and i am thinking what the hell is that. I checked my plenum and vaccum lines n i can't figure *** its for. Remeber i have a 94 ser de. so dont mix it with 92 or 91. and another thing ohming the injecters on the 94 is a bit*h in a half. there gotta be an easier way...ight thanks guys
to answer a couple of questions for you
a) Good injectors OHM at 10-14 any higher and they are no good
b) check you vaccum (should be about 15-20 mm/Hg at idle)
c) i would also replace distrubtor cap and rotor like T bags said
d) change your spark plugs -- i noticed that i had a "miss" at around 4k rpm, relpaced plugs with new platinum ones and the miss is gone and the car fells better all around
e) Check your fuel pressue (idle ~36psi, into throttle ~44psi this of course all depends on temperature colder temps increase fuel pressue)
----Edit---------
easy way to check ohms of injectors is to do it at the ECU, pull off the harness and just ohm it that way
ill see if i can find my diagram
------end edit-----

best of luck to you and let us know what you find

i have the same thing, i replaced the oxygen sensor, plugs, wires, distributor cap, rotor, cleaned egr, cleaned throttle body, and every vacuum line on the engine so tell me when you find the problem
another question i have is i have a rubber line running from the back right side of the block coming upward. It leads to nothing and i am thinking what the hell is that.
Sounds like the transmission vent tube.

yeah the trans vent tube is right over the clutch cable..its loose like u said/i would most definitely buy the inline fuel gauge so u can find out ur fuel pressure.after doing ur routine maintainence + o2 then take a look at exh system(cat converter).i dont know how to tap into ur injectors without splicing them, so good luck.also check ur timing...keep up the post and well answer to our best knowledge
yea i thought it could be my vent tube....im gonna check that next...but i asked around a lot n one of my friends said *** it is the injecters....i have n extra set so i ohm'd it out and it was @11...n later tongiht im gonna ohm the injecters on my car....i also checked all vaccum lines to see if there was a leak...im summing it up to be 1(or maybe possible all or 2) is the problem....Injector is not opening(or if it is the pulse width is off)/the vent tube/or ignition ish. I'll keep it posted.
oh yea i still gotta check the cat if there is ne pressure coming back...another thing if it is my tranny vent tube *** do u suppose is wrong with it....clogged..lossed....cracked????
The transmission vent tube is just that, it doesn't affect how your engine runs so you can pretty much eliminate that off of your trouble shooting list. Newer transmissions don't even have a tube like that, they just have a little cap that acts sort of like a valve.
ight thanks.....yea i installed some new spark plugs(auto light double platinum, couldn't afford NGK's n its ok *** imm swap the engine soon) and it made the car run better, but it still has a little hesitation and surging...i am waiting for the plugs from the dealership n i should be getting it on tues.....i'lll keep it posted
Same problem with my 98 SE-R everytime I reached 4500 rpm. I got me a used NGK wires from a guy who wrecked his SE-R and Used the wires for only 2K and he included the Dist cap. So I decided to replace my dist. cap as well since all the wires are hooked already. I guess my car is running good everytime I punched it I didn't even notice the hesitation anymore. Im using the same plugs as what you are using( Autolite Platinum) hey its on sale My next step is to replace my O2 sensor cause I have my engine light on, and I hate to wait longer just to warm the cat so I can have a smooth ride. Oh one more thing, check your throttle cable to.
the surging was solved for me with a bottle of throttle body cleaner and speaker wire..clean ur egr valve.. if its not functioning correctly i will surge..here the link to it from ser.net linxx..it worked for me and i beforehand did a full tune up/o2/ and all full synthetics..as far as ur injectors i dont know how to check the voltage without splicing the wires..good luck and keep the sr20's rolling
