Problem: B&M Throw Shifter

I have had my B&M Short Throw Shifter for some time now on my Nissan Primera and ever since install have found that after some time when the enigne get warm my shifter when in neutral seems to be pretty stiff, meaning there is not a lot of play. I'm wondering if it has anything to do with the fact that the ball section of the shifter is getting hot and expanding and rubbing on the walls of the casing that contains it. If so what can be done to stop this from happening?

i wish mine was stiff. lol. i dont think that the hotness from the engine could do that much to the rubber though. have u put ur hand close to where the ball sits in that blue piece to see actually how hot it gets?? mine wobbles around in all the gears, i cant figure my sh*t out. errr

i had the problem until i got irritated with it and got a straight pipe...
because of the heat rising off the cat, it makes the metal to metal bind
since the B&M doesn't have any rubber

i'd say get a straight pipe and wrap that mofo in fiber wrap

I have a straight pipe now but it is 3", the problem is that the 3" is high up because my car sits really low. I am gonna have to change my suspension setup and lower the piping.
