Knock sensor wont budge! Help!

I have a 1995 200sx se-r with a bad knock sensor. The sucker wont come out at all. I cant turn the bolt for the life of me, using a 12mm 6 point box end wrench. I sprayed some liquid wrench on there also and that did nothing for me. I have a few questions. 1. can you get that bolt out with that hot water pipe being so damn close to it. It wouldnt seem that it would unscrew because the pipe covers half the bolt and is only a 1/2 inch away. 2. any suggestions of way to get it out, i have been attempting to do this from underneath, reaching around quite a bit of stuff. I cant think of any of tools to use, and have slightly rounded the bolt, but still can get a grip on it.

With multiple attempts from some stronger friends, i am left with taking it to a mechanic. They want to remove the metal water house, big braket, and starter.... do they really need to take out the starter? I have spent hours and hours on this and am at my wits end. Any suggestions from you guys who have done it before, especially on this car would be great.

you can get it but it is a tight squeeze. i think that i interlocked 2 wrenches for a little more leverage and lost the skin on my knuckles. not a fun job

I did this not too long ago also and man I think my clutch install was easier...The time I spent was also on breaking this loose because nissan puts some kind of thread lock on the sensor...If I remember I ended up pulling that big braket loose for more room and finally got a grip on the thing to get it loose...hope it helps.

i just did this on my freinds g20 w/ a low port. took me 30 min tops. use a 6 point wrench so you dont mess up the head of the bolt.
