It would not fit.

The cams are C O M P L E T E L Y different, may pay to check out the 'sticky'... http://www.sr20forum.com/neovvl-guides/70960-how-vvl-works.html.

And then take a good look at the configuration of the cams (pic #5), the extra lobes on the VVL 'cam' of the cam; you should notice that there are 4 (FOUR) EXTRA lobes per bank, or cam shaft.

Hence the reason why the 'VE' brigade are a WEEEEE bit stuck on cam choices.

There are actually eight extra lobes per camshaft...DE uses one lobe per cylinder per shaft acting on the rocker which in turn pushes down on the two valves per cylinder...per shaft
