The Egg lives again....with a new heart

Well, Its official, We have successfully swapped in an sr16ve and 5spd transmission into my 92nx2k. I guess we cant call it that anymore though, I guess its now unofficially an nx1600. Well, anyway, the install was a big success with little kinks here and there to work out but overall the engine looks super clean, and sounds amazing. The place that sold it to me said it had about 3000 miles on it, and by the looks of it, Id say they were telling the truth. The stock clutch even looked new and the tranny shifts perfectly. I am very happy at this point, and once we work out everything, I will be even happier that i will be driving it. I do have to give a shout out to the guys here on the forum who helped me out big time with the swap. Linnus, LTrain...thank you so much for your help and your staying with us through the last long night. Duck, Thank you for your help man, I appreciate you coming from work and then staying the whole night to help us, that was very cool of you. And Justin, thanks a lot man, I appreciate your help and Im glad I was able to meet you. Your welding skills came in handy. And last, but certainly not least, the man who deserves the most credit and accolades is my best friend Chris, Nismoser. Bro, I couldnt have done it without you and your patience and skill was very calming and inspiring. Thanks buddy. I appreciate you guys....Thanks again.

Awesome car man. Any specific reason for a sr16 rather than sr20? Aside from the sexy blue VC anyway

Well, mainly because the price I got it for with the close ratio tranny with a claimed 3,000 miles on it was more then I could pass up. It seemed like the right fit for my car and my budget. And yes, the blue valve cover was the deal clincher!

Well, Im waiting on a new clutch cable, I ordered one for the ga16de application because the sr20de one is too long and it was causing the clutch to slip to the point that it wasnt really driveable. Im also in the process of getting a new ecu for it and my msd cam switch is in the mail and lastly, I need an maf to complete everything. I will definately let you guys know my first true impressions of it.
