Where are you buying your SR20VE parts?

Does anyone (dealer) in the US stock OEM SR20VE parts, like water pumps, etc?

Where are you buying your:

-Clutch
-Lightweight flywheels
-Headers, like Fuji or Hotshot
-Anything else related to your VE swap or enhancement

Just curious on where people are buying what, and what you're paying.

If you look in the FAQ, you would see that the VE shares the same part numbers as the B15 SR20.

Clutch same as DE

Water Pump same as 00-01 DE

I sell Fujitsubo headers, if you want a Hotshot VE header get it right from HS

JWT will be coming out with the real big cams with Valve springs and retainers

Oil Pump you can get form JWT

JWT has the high performance ECU

Nissan has the PSP and Alt.

As fas as parts go there is no problem to get parts for the VE motor.

I looked through the FAQ, but failed to notice that. I did know that some parts were similar, like the oil filter.

As of right now, regardless of the hassle, I am going to go with the VE distributor, so I need VE wires, cap, and rotor. I found part #s for the cap and rotor:

22157 1N510 SR20VE distributor rotor
22162 1N511 SR20VE distributor cap

What about the wires?

I looked in the FAQ, and I searched. I only want to know where people who are using the VE dist (I know, most don't) got their plug wires, cap and rotor. Courtesy and JWT seem to carry some OEM VE stuff.

And what about the rear main seal? Is this the same as DE? Is the alt belt the same, too?

Does that apply to the main seals, alt belt, and ignition components?

Has anyone tried 00-01 DE cap/rotor/wires on the VE dist?

It has been discussed here that the VE block is 99% the same as the DE block, so the seals and other parts are the same. The VE uses the same belts as the DE also.

I believe my rear & front main seals were from the 00-01 SR - I order my stuff from Greg Vogel, so he should know. I would think that any of the SR plug wires would actually work b/c the distrubitors look very similar on top - not guaranteeing anything though.

Josh

I used general SR20 parts when I replaced my rear main seal and rod bearings. The only VE parts that you can not buy at your neighborhood dealer, are the head and the pistons. The block is a DE block with the oil squirters, the crank is a roller rocker SR20 crank. I'm pretty sure the rods are standard SR20 parts. All the seals and gaskets are normal SR20 parts. The spark plug wires look to be the same as the B14 wires.
