Hi-Po 20VE?

Looking around on the forum I've only noticed mods consisting mainly of 16VE camshafts, header, exhaust, ecu (obviously), and simple intakes. Is there really just nothing else out there for the engine?

Reason why is after my SRX S14 build I am going to be picking up a VE possibly for the Egg and I really want to build an N/a engine for it. The DE looks like a fun route but honestly I don't see it churning out the same driveability as the VVL engine.

I'm not afraid to make stuff for an engine if I have to but I was just wondering if there are other parts out there such as aftermarket shelf pistons, etc.

Well, you may have to look to some overseas vendors for more parts. I read somewhere that some company(other than JWT) was developing some VE cams.....

There are plenty of parts available if you want to build a 220+Whp VE

If I were going to build a budget VE, it would be as follows:
Buy a SR16VE
use SR20 crank and rods and RR SR20 pistons
Gen 6 header, JWT ECU, thermoblock spacers.
Use Silvia alternator bracket to remove P/S

Probably good for 205WHP for $3000 or so with the clutch and flywheel.
I think once the JWT cams come out the VE owners will have some good options for a high HP screamer, although rumor has it you need JWT pistons to take full advantage of their cams.

Of course the standard DE add-ons apply, like 300ZX pistons, coatings, multi angle valve jobs, etc.

I am not sure if VE owners can use UR pulleys, their site does not show an application for the VE, although they have an application for the GTi-R, which may or may not fit. Someone like Andres would have the answer to that.
