VVL install for race car

I did the engine swap two weeks ago. Mated it to the sr16ve tranny. The engine started up fine and idled smooth. I am waiting on the gen. 6 header. Any day now. I am also working on another method of the solenoid activation. Since it is a race car there is no real rush to finish. I still need to send off the DE ecu to JWT for reprogamming. Anyone know the turnaround time for reprogamming? The ecu was already programmed with 8500 rpm redline, high speed retard and 100 octane race fuel.
The final tuning should be rather interesting. Here are a few picts.

The second photo is my next problem. Making clearance for the hotshot 3" exhaust and the custom made lower stress bar.

What did you have in mind for solenoid activation? I may have something for you but maybe not for a little while

I am looking at the MSD-8969 unit. There is a post in this section. Knowone wants to discuss it other than it will not work. I will make it work. This is a link of the unit. http://www.msdignition.com/rpm_14.htm What do you think.

Hi Chris, more than likely it was Charlie jr. you have been talking to. He gets VVL's in excellent condition almost weekly. Thanks.

Where did you hear it doesn't work? I know a few people who are using it. It's a nice piece, especially compared to the old pil style MSD boxes.

I don't know why it wouldn't work. A friend of mine uses it to activate his cams (he can chime in for himself...) and I just wired up that unit last night on my buddy's SR16VE and it switches the cams just fine.

SR16VE transmissions come cable...no modifcation needed. Well, except for the speedo sensor.
