Clutches

My VE will have the following mods:

-3'' exhaust
-fujitsubo header (3-4 months away)
-jwt ecu
-jwt pop charger
-cams (about a year from now)

Here is my question. Will I be ok running the OEM pressure plate with an 01 SE disk? I assume once I get the cams, a new clutch will be required, but for the time being am I OK? TIA.

If your clutch is in good condition, that combo will work just fine. There are a few turbo people using that same setup without issues.

Thank goodness I spent $350 on the ACT clutch, then.

Cool. My clutch and pressure plate both have only about 10,000 miles on them.

as little clutch as possible is the best one.

if youre king clutch smoker, who likes the throttle on shifts, your clutch won't last unless its got metal in it. if you arent hard on them, the stock one works perfectly.

i went with a JWT PP and 2000SE disc.

I have a key value setup on my car right now... had an act when i did the swap and it held fine, but took a dump about 2 months ago and ACT was backordered on the HDPP.
It holds the power fine (so far), but i wouldn't go drag racing and try slicks or anything like that with a stock clutch....
