Safe REV limit on an sr16ve

Im shopping around for ecu's and I can get one customed programmed, I just want to get the opinions of the sr16 guys out there with a safe rev limit to put on a custom ecu. I have heard different stories that 8,000 is good, or 8200 or 8500 or even 9,000 in some cases. If you guys could shed some light on this little mystery, that would be a big help. Ideally I would like to redline 1st and end up in vvl in second and so forth. thanks..John
P.S. yes I do have a msd switch set at 6,000 for intake/exaust switchover.

you can order a JWT one with no rev limit, it just takes a couple of minutes of persuading ben to let you have it...
