Isn't 38mm a bit on the low side?

let forget about 4 TB setup, I gave up mine and go for custom make intake with 75mm TB. the 4tb one idle like crap, doesnt gain me much power at top end, throttle become too sensitive and make me hard to drive. it might be good for race car, but I dont think ve engine like it, I will see how my new custom make intake output on dyno next week (compare to 4tb one).

I think Mr PennyFan also had fitment issues in terms of bigger trumpets. For the RWD boys no issues but for us the firewall becomes an issue.

ITB need proper setup..
i was told it not like just bolt on on the engine
you need to test each of the ITB measurement correctly and each of the ITB flow correctly

Was told not many tuner are capable to tune 4 throttle via MAF

keep in mind that's for each cylinder. it would be like running a 152mm single TB.

I know guys. It is just that whenever I asked anyone (Jenvey, PM) about 42mm TBs for SR20s they "suggested 45mm.

OK, it's not on the road, but it's running 51mm at the body opeing and tapers to 48mm at the manifold face, not the head face. Butterfly is like 50mm. 4 of them. The RamPipe mouth is like 58mm. JENVEY specifications all the way.
Tuned length is more important for a street machine than bore size, 38 to 40mm is fine enough, with the 86mm bore x stroke the bore size of the throttle is not so critical at sub 8,000rpm.

The VE has a low port head so I'm also under the impression that a GTI-R quad trhottle manifold will fit it perfectly....??
