Gen6 and 3" installed

I finally installed the gen6 and 3" system all the way to the tailpipe including a 3" magnaflow cat. All I have to say is holy cow! I must have been down 20-30hp with the old setup. And man the switchover point is crazy now. As soon as I hit 4800rpm its like BAM! and then the exhaust is 10x louder lol. Its not overly loud on the small lobes and doesn't seem to drone on the highway much yet. I'll have more of a chance to hear it on the 1400 mile drive each way to and from the convention though

Matt, are you using a 22" bullet muffler for a resonator?

It was a Stillen gen2 header to a factory cat to a factory midpipe to a nismo/borla rear section with a tip that had a messed up sound restrictor donut that had about a 1.5" opening.

Good to hear it really helped out Matt! We did good, even though it could use a little tweaking...hit me up when you get back from the convention, you still didnt get a ride in my car!

Oh yeah, getting rid of the stock b-pipe makes a HUGE difference by itself!

Looking forward to hearing how it sounds. And seeing how it goes. Did you have any clearance issues with the Gen 6? What size muffler did you use?

Thanks guys Yeah I don't think any of you will have a problem hearing it lol. The muffler is 14" its about the longest you can easily fit on an NX.

I need to do a new header/exaust setup myself. Im currently running my sr16ve with a pacesetter header to a 2.25" cat back with original cat and also into a nismo borla muffler with restrictor plate...I had no idea that it only created a 1.5" opening! Geesh! I think im gonna get the vvl downpipe from hotshot to my stock ve manifold and I need to go bigger on exaust. Do u think 3" is too big for the sr16...because it seems as if 2.5" crush bent will be too small.

Congrats.
I finally got my gen 6 yesterday. I already did my measurements to tweak the pipe for clearance for the Progress front sway bar. Did you have any fitment Issues?
