idles funny when cold...

in the morning when i turn my car on my it idles funny for like 5secs unless i feather the gas a lil and then it idles fine.. what do u guys think it is and how can i fix it..

p.s
and its not only in the morning is when the engine cools down too....

stock de ecu, de maf, and ve inj... im getting my jwt ecu this friday... u think that will make a diff?? and i have a fuel pump to put on but im not sure if its ok to put it on now or after i put the ecu in...

No. 17 is your problem, you should clean it.



Did a write up on NissanMexico.org in spanish, you might want to check it.

How does it idle funny? A VE will idle high on a cold start until it warms up. But running VE injectors with a DE ECU could be the culprit too.

its ur ecu..ur dumping 2 much fuel..ur ecu is set to 259 and u have 319 injectors pumping..u need a reprogrammed ecu.set the timing to 22" now and dont beat on her.when ur jwt comes in set the car to timing mode and then set the timing to 15"..done deal..hey i've seen it work on other cars.that pic looks like a de to me

well it looks for a idle when it starts... should i wait till i get the ecu to put the new fuel pump??

My VE is having similar issues with a JWT ECU, VE injectors, VE MAF. I start my car in the mornings and the car dies. It tries to stay alive, but the RPMs bounce around everywhere around 700 RPM, but eventually they dip too low and the car dies. What could be my problem? My throttle body is perfectly clean...any ideas?
