i just weighed one at 17lbs. i think 15lbs is wrong. the scale is a calibrated shipping scale weighs up to 120lbs. its not off by 2lbs at that light weight.

andreas i think you should take a few of them and take then around to a few different scales and see how it goes from there. possibly averaging the measured weights.

it's simple get on the scale, weight yourself, get off the scale, grab the flywheel and get back on the scale. The difference is the weight of the flywheel. I personally think mine weights more than 15lbs.

I got the SR16ve and the SR18de "should be the same as the SE-r SR20" flywheel,

The 16ve flywheel is lighter, and its one piece.
The sr18 flywheel is heavier and is 2 piece, also the center got a small hub.

just to keep the fun going my 16v flywheel weighed 16lbs on Puerto Rico @ sea level

so it really doesn't matter from 15 to 16 and if its 17 well whatever anyways just take them to a machine shop or someone who knows how to and get it lightened 2-3 pounds and thats it

anyways its still better than oem and cheaper than a fidanza...

If it weighs 15lbs on earth, it would weigh 2.5 there, if it weighs 17lbs on earth, it would weigh 2.8333333333333333333...

There you go Serban, I just saved you like $10 Billion for the moon trip to find out.

This to BigTom, all the SR16VE flywheels that I have had were 15-16 pounds. I never had one at 17 pounds. Now just becasue yours is 17 pounds that does not mean there are not ones out there at 15 and 16 pounds. As you can see Digiteks flywheels is at 16 pounds.

That's not a flywheel, it's a flexplate for the automatic transmission.
