Custom header making of...

Today I decided to make a custom header with a friend. Actually he made it.
It is 4-2-1 and diameter is 45-50-60.
Here are some pics of the construction

The inner diameter is not constant. It gets smaller where the bends are from the pipe being crushed.

To HP junkies like Rockweed and Mike....yes it is a problem.

Nothing a boost controller can't overcome.

Not to sound rude , but why would u make a "CUSTOM" header, that is 4-2-1 ? then on top of that make it reduce? You might as well buy one of those baby dick header's from ebay........ Imo....

Nice job all in all, next time get some mandrel bent tubing, it keeps the ID the same thru the bends.

I was wondering what you guy's used for the flange.. did you have any problems keeping it straight? On stainless if I put that much heat on one side there is no chance of me keeping it flat.

Crush bends like that will make it sound not so good, it will "rasp" quite badly.

That is what I am telling you. He hasn't been to the track before the header. It was his first time at the track.
