I wanted to find out if anyone would be interested in getting there ecu's modded instead of reprogrammed by jwt......for all the ve guys this would be great because it can be modded on odb1 and odb2 ecus. It will be a whole lot faster than Jwt and you wont have to keep sending back to jwt for reprogram....... great for those who are running standalone systems...Any questions feel free to ask
great idea. people would totally go for this. and so would have i. but the nx i just bought has a jwt ecu. so i can just pay for a new chip to be sent to me.
I'm confused as to what you mean by modded vs reprogrammed? wtf are you talking about?

Its 8300rpms redline for the OBD1 ecu (nx,se-r,g20) and 8000rpms with 129mph speed cut for OBD2 ecus (200sx,se-l,g20)
Its a stock ECU with just higher limits. Its main use is for the VE people that doesn't want to go with a JWT ecu but needs the higher limits to go with their piggy backs.

If anyone wants i have a 96 ecu for sale in the forums.... It has already been reprogrammed if anyone wants to try it out.... And the service will be a lot faster than Jwt
Who reprograms the ECU? Company, single person tryin to start a company? Before people buy something they have no knowledge of, you need to give some kind of numbers. For example, how is this particular ECU better than a JWT, any dyno figures comparing both? etc.

well the speed limited ecus have the speed cut moved to 129mph and the ones without it stay without speed cut.... the price stands at 200 with your own computer being reprogrammed

I think we need to know what is really done to the ecu's. If it is only a crystal change, well you can search the forum on how to do it, and exactly what happens w/ diff't crystals.
Just a crystal change doesn't give a benefit to the VE guys other than the redline since we would have to still find something to adjust the larger injectors. People can buy Calum's ecu's through the forum store, which have modifications to the timing (in some cases), fuel, etc. Calum's are $115 through the store (http://store.sr20forum.com/forum/ind...dafa6d7ac1ac34).
I like the idea for more products, but I don't think anyone is going to pay that much money for a partial solution without any backup information.
We have plenty of daughterboards in oz, usually the only problem is not being able to write to the rom in real time (I think its just because no one can be bothered buying the right gear for them). So its a case of installing daughterboard, do dyno run, pull eprom out, make change on laptop, install it again and keep trying. very annoying to do and time consuming
