Header for the VE

I spoke with John Spangler at Hotshot and he's developing a header for the VE motor. He wants to have it completed by Early March cause he's planning on showcasing it at the convention.

Other options are a couple places in Japan called Fujitsubo and Impul. But they are designed to fit the Primera so I assume you'd still need to have a secondary made from scratch. Nice looking units though.

Impul also shows an ECU for the VE on their web site. Trouble is I don't understand Japanese and they haven't returned my emails.

What's with the rumor that the B16 and B18 header will fit the VE?? I'm gonna check the fit in a couple weeks when my VE gets here.

What is the website address to Impul ?

It says they cost 128000 yen. I have no clue how much that is. Here is the listing for the ecu:

* MAX Increase of power
* Medium speed with torque rise of framework, substantial improvement of drivability
* Speed cancellation of limiter
* Enlargement of ?????????
* Boost rise of pressure (turbo car)
* Engine responds to rpm rationalization of the ignition timing which
* Engine improvement of response
* Improvement of fuel economy
* Rationalization of fuel oil consumption

128,000.00 JPY = 951.319 USD

At the current exchange rate anyway.

Naw, nothing like that. The sr20 and honda motors have different port spacing and very different bolt patterns. The VE head Is very similar to a DE - the bolt pattern is the same, but the ports are not in the same exact spot.

A b-series honda is like this:
---o----o----o----o--
o----o----o----o----o

an Sr20 is like:
----oo----------oo----
o---------oo---------o

Here is the header that will work the best. 1 3/4 size pipes, length of pipes to collecter between 30-32 inch no more than that. If you have some bucks get a burns collecter that has 1 3/4 inlet pipes with a 2 1/2 inch collecter. If you guys are interested I might make some of these header for you guys. They will be made in stainless. So they will be pricey but they will be the best.,

I'm definately interested if you make one for a B13 with a secondary that'll bolt right up to the cat. Please explain what a burns collector is.

is there some way a flat 4-1 collector can be used? will one fit? reason i ask is that 4-1 collector doesn't look like it will fit with my N-Tech bar, plus i have seen many a AEBS header smashed flat from a bump or dip in the road.
