Andreas, or anyone who knows, some info on SR16VE cams, please.
Andreas,
I figure that you are they guy to go to about information on this. What do you feel is a fair price for SR16VE cams? It is likely that they will become in demand once a lot of people complete the VE swap. Is there a ready supply of them from Japan? Thanks a lot dude.
Its a dealer part all you have to do is get intouch with a dealer and get the part #. As for me and my friends we will be running some after market ones that will make more HP. The prices on thes cams are about $1000. remeber there are more lobs to grind. The dealer should have the SR16 cams for abour $300 a cam.

It just would surprise me if the parts department of a local (or even mail order) Nissan dealership could locate a part number for a non-us spec part. A parts department after all is a business. Since selling non-US spec parts isn't part of their business I doubt they have the incentive or even the ability to find SR16VE N1 cams. I certainly could be wrong, but that's been my experince dealing with Nissan Parts.
As for the N1 cams not fitting the SR20VE. Could you expand upon you post? Why won't they fit/work?
I read the whole thread again but it didn't really answer my question. Why won't they work. If the head is the same they should work unless the valve train is of a different design. (IE more than just stiffer vavle springs/retainers.)
I doubt that the N1 cams are the wildest cams that you can by for an SR motor though. You would think Toda or Jun or one of the other JDM aftermarket companies would make an even more agressive cam.
If they do not work, my best guess, would be that they just have different dimensions, such as lobe separation, diameter of bearing surfaces etc. Its not that hard to imagine they would be different.
