Chose the B15 because its the newest sentra at the time. The racing series I wanted to go in (USTCC) wanted current production models. I personally like the look of the B15. I also wanted to take advantage of the helical differential.

It would be awesome if you could do a detailed write up on making a QR tranny work. That would help out alot of people here.

Car looks great, BTW.

Wow, you remembered that? Yes, I had a white Sentra E and dropped an SR20 in it back in 95-96. Was called Hybrid John for a bit. Did 14.4 in it till I found Autoxing and then Road Racing. Raced a few races in the SE-R cup before I sold it to Dono in L.A. a few months ago. He is resurrecting it to run in the SE-R cup once again.

Still looking for options for the rear brakes. Proabably keep the stock rotors and just get some racing pads. Haven't decided which though.

Not sure if this is the appropriate thread for this. I'd have to gather some notes and try to remember what I did. It'll probably show up on the b15sentra forum.

Hey John, I live in Sacto too. What part of the city do live? We have a group Nissan folks here in the Capital. Plus, we have a club called Team Driven. Check out our web site www.team-driven.net. Plus your car is sweet. You should do a write up on the tranny conversion and the harness swap. I believe your info would be a gold mine for folks on this forum. Also you can hit me up via e-mail qivey@frontiernet.net.

I think its ok ...

There is a good amount of hp left to obtain 184/152 is with a pretty conservative a/f . All the tunning was done on a New Dynometer LOAD dyno
for more precise tunning. That shizzle is VERY LOUD ..good job John

John, it looks awesome! Are you going to try and get into the USTCC SJGP race? I was expecting your call today, but didn't get it...

Also, you should re-route that positive battery cable inside of the roll cage. If you get t-boned, you don't want it pinched between the cage tubes and the body.

It is just one of those little things that tech inspectors will point out.

John....
Did you use the QR starter? If you can use the QR starter... then I have flywheels made for this swap. It would eliminate the need to have the collar made with the throwout bearing. We had the flywheel made for the destroked QR, using the SR20 crankshaft.. but it would work perfectly for what you have done.

Also, would a Primera 6spd axle work? This would eliminate the need to have a custom adaptor made for the axle bracket (to the block). Get a Primera 6spd axle.. and bust the boot loose right past the big bearing/bracket assembly. Then, use B15 QR axle the rest of the way. Should work just fine.. we're doing something similar with the VQ35 swapped B15.

Just a few suggestions for those looking to duplicate this.
