How many VE guys used to be turbo DE guys?

Just kinda curious...because it seems like this is the case around here in my area. After I got my VE motor, 4 other people I know who were turbo DE guys went VE...so a total of 5 in the last 8-10 months. Anyone else?

Should be sweet, i actually get the motor today. Should be fun getting looks from the honda guys when they hear the cam change from a nissan..

Well thats a tough choice. I like the way the det feels on the street a little more because of the push in the seat it gives you. I like the feel of the VE better on the track because of the smooth power delivery and its nice to not having to worry about overheating (think nx cooling ).

well..for thrills i think the ve is better.for straight powa then the det is the choice..u really cant beat the budget power that the ve delivers..and its funny to c the honduhs faces when it pops

I've had 7 sr powered cars, 3 of which were turbo, and now the VE.

I'm in love thinking about making a sr18ve+t as the next project...

A regular DE can get you in the 12s with that setup. Hell, a T28 on a DE will get you into the 12s!

i think that if ur going to go turbo on the ve u might as well work the blk..i would do the same to any other high comp motor..after driving in my new employees rsx type s with a greddy kit at 10psi... thats all i can say..the butt dyno felt like low 12 or so..we went from 40 to 130 in a zip..all the while i never inhaled the combo of 10 to 1 with a t28 ive felt before and we used to beat sti's with that thing..of course other things attribute like slicks and all but it was fun until the blazer killed her.that gtir set-up is a powerful toy

OR I should say I still have both (DET and VE) for those that sold their DET for the VE.

i already went through a u12 det and i never even drove it so im gonna turbo my jdm de and give turbo one more chance. once this de blows (which i hope is not for a long time!) i will definately be going for a sr20ve, seems to be the right choice for reliability reasons. so i guess i dont count just yet

I have a DE+T now with rod knock and have a VE on order. I will probably be slapping the turbo stuff on it eventually.

my plan is to drag race my B14....buy a B13 (SE-R of course) and throw a VE in that and go autocrossing and maybe even some lap days.

then eventually get a G20 daily driver

of course id like to have a SR20-T 240sx in between somewhere heheh
