Meziere Water Pump = car overheating

I intalled yesterday on my SR20VE a Meziere water pump and the car is overheating after a while can you guys give me any sugestions

you properly bleed the coolant system? running a thermostat?

I've never had my hands on one but is it possible to wire it backwards to where it would rotate the wrong way or is that not possible?
