few questions...

Just got my ve today. so far *** got it home and put the outlaw thermo blockers on it.

My v/c has sh*tty lookin yellow paint pen writing on it from the place that pulled the motor. How do u get this off with out hurting the color of the v/c?

its not a big deal, but someone might want to add that u have to change the passenger side motor mount bracket from the DE to the VE. I have never read about it in anyof the write ups, but i had to do it.

And i read u need to sawp both de temp sensors. oil and water...the water ones are pretty simple to find, there right on the water hardline right below the runner on the intake mainfold, now the oil temp sensor, is this located right next to the oil filter on the ve??? im pretty sure it is.

The mount bracket is different on all JDM DEs too, its a fairly known thing I never changed the sensors, I just had the VE plug spliced into my harness.

There is no stock oil temp sensor. There is an oil pressure sensor, and that is in the same place as the DE. I used all my stock DE sensors to get things easy and simple. I also kept the VE AAC and IACV, since the DE one doesn't fit, and it would put the idle screw facing down. Just clean the VE part and put it on. To remove the yellow paint, use a little bit of gasoline. Just put enough on a rag, and wipe the yellow paint off.

The VE IACV was left on there, and the wires were spliced for the VE plugs.

That sunny front end rocks. If I'd known about it when I got my xenon kit I might have chosen that look instead. It gives the car a much more euro look than mine. I still like mine but its like an apple and and orange...

Use Meguiars chrome polish, it should work, I removed most of the lettering off my JDM DE motor with it, it came off with ease. Or some Turtle wax chrome polish.
