Where can I get an FSM for the VE?

I'd like to get my hands on a VE, but I sure would want an FSM
to tell me what kind of cylinder pressure I should expect when
I do a compression test and all the other spec that I can easily
find in my b13 FSM. Or are they not any different than the DE?
How do I know the optimal timing? How many links of timing
chain between the exhaust and intake cams? what about bearing
grades? Piston grades?

These are all valid questions that most of us (except perhaps Andreas) cannot answer at this point. I'm hoping to locate an English language FSM for a VE equipped car myself. If I find one I'll post the source. Please do the same.

Hmm, I remember reading about the Pulsar GTI-R in one of the British tuner magazines at Barnes &Noble. Good point, I hope they do get ve-powered primeras there.

Here's a thought, don't know if it'll work or not:

http://www.separts.co.uk/

They're a great source of UK Nissan OEM parts in England. I would *imagine* you could get a FSM from them.

Hope this helps!

I would imagine that all the units would be metric. All those funky units you see next to our torque readings and what not in our FSMs.

TIme for massive comversion equations.

I may be mistaken but I think the VE is a Japanese only motor.

Jim your right after looking into Japan was the only one to get the sr20ve in the P11. Though maybe the sr20ve might still be in the British FSM, just like the GA is in our SE-R FSM.

no, the ve is only sold in japan, so if you understand japanese, i guess you can order it from a japanese dealership. cursory look at the uk, au, nz nissan websites showed nothing about VE. I actually corresponded with the guy who runs the primera car club website in new zealand and he said nissan would not sell FSM to the public even if they sold it there. but they have bookstores that sell service manuals, just not the one we want. when i get the ve and i really need it i guess i'll order it from japan and have somebody translate it for me. it will probably cost me the price of the engine to translate it.
