N15 and B14

Ok I've read about this SR16VE and I was wondering if any of you know if it's an easy swap in a B14, since the N15 and the B14 look the same. I have a 200 SX SE and I can probably get an SR16VE from one of my body for a pretty decent price.

And is the N15 and the B14 have the same chassi.

Thank a bunch guy's

It'll fit, but you'll need and SR20DE tranny to do the swap.

Why would I need an SR20DE tranny to do the swap. is it because it's a right hand side (driving car).

You would need our weak sr20de tranny because the N15 i believe are AWD and their trannies won't work.

Most of the trannies you'll get here for SR*VE's are AWD or AUTO.

ga16 trannies wont fit.

SR20DE trannies will.

Thats why.

There we go again with sh*t ass info. There is no such thing as a AWD N15 they are all FWD. The B14 and N15 are basically the same car with the excetion of one being a hatch back. Whether the car is right or left hand drive it does not matter the engine and trany goes in the same way.

So it will fit. I knew that they are FWD, I've read a bit about that car. I was just wondering if it's an easy swap. Since I'm looking for a weekend swap, not a couple of weekend job.

Same here sorry.

But the gist of it stands though.

You will most likely need an SR20 tranny no matter what.

Unless your lucky enough to get a 5spd tranny with your VE.

I could be mistaken but the 97-01 SR20VE equipped cars only came with the Hyper something auto tranny. The new 02 Primera P12 has a manual 6 speed offering.

i believe from what i have read that the sr16ve there are two types of manual trannies. One has is a cable (which u would need) and the other is hydrolic. I may be wrong as i do tend to get confused often, so if i am someone please correct me.
