Dyno Run

Hey all. I got my car dynoed 2 weeks ago using Dyno pack system Track Day Performance. Its made 179.6bhp at 8004rpm and 123.2ft/lbs at 7618rpm using 95ron.

The car is running a HKS induction kit, 4 branch manifold (I think ye call them headers), 3" cat replacement pipe, 2.5" cat back Nismo exhaust with Nismo back box, HKS S35i Iridium spark plugs and something called a 2001 spec ECU. I'm not really sure about the last bit. Thats what the guy in Track Day Performance told me. He said it was an updated ECU that had a form of launch control. I know the car won't rev over 6500 when stopped and it also can't have its speed restrictor taken out.

My next few bits will be an Omex ECU, N1 inlet manifold and N1 cams. Maybe a DE bottom end. In the next few weeks it'll be getting a Exedy clutch and probably a Firdanza flywheel.

Click here for a bigger photo. Also before anyone asks. Its not a N1 that was just a typo and so was the date and so was the car reg. The new one was posted to me the other day with the right details.

Decent numbers... Why is your TQ curve so wavy?

dynapacks read lower than dynojets I think. As for why the torque curve is wavy, it's not really that wavy, it's because of the scale used which is different than what you're use to. I'm impressed that the torque doesn't drop off up top.

It does keep pulling right up, doesn't it. The guys in tdp reckon I should be doing over 200bhp with the ecu and my torque should hit about 150.

Try to bring on the VVL before 5800 and see if you can smooth out the dip in the power band. Anyway good #'s! I think sr16's can break 190whp with bolt ons.

That is a good suggestion. I have mine set at 5500 and its a constant pull with the switchover point there. I am using an msd window switch to activate both intake and exhaust cams at the same time.

Like I said. Its gettin an Omex ECU in a few weeks. Thats full timing and fueling management. I'm going to bring both vvls down a good bit. I'd say low 5's and mid to low 6's.

When ye say whp what do ye mean?

Well, your bhp is usually referred to as your crank or flywheel horsepower. Your wheel horsepower, or whp measures how much power is being delivered to your wheels not to the flywheel. The flywheel hp is always higher then the whp.

Its hard to explain but dyno pack do read WHP i dont know why it says flywheel but its wheel....All dynopacks says flywheel but its WHP it reads.
