Got My Car Dynoed ( Sr16ve Pulsar )

HEY THE BOM HERE
Got my car dynoed at the weekend at WESTWARD ENGINEERING here in IRELAND. My car is almost completly standard. I have an induction kit, NGK plug leads and NGK Racing Plugs No: T7340A-7. And i also have the cat removed ( it was blown when i got the car in from JAPAN.so just removed the the internals of the box). The max BHP Was 165.4 at the flywheel and 141.3 BHP at the wheels the Torque was 113.8 lb ft. This was after i set the timing to 10 degres it was set at 6 on the first run ( dont have the info from the first run) but the torque jumped a good bit when we compaired the two runs

Those #'s seem pretty low actually. U should probably try bumping up your timing.....do you have the stock ecu setting off the cam switch points for you...i think stock they are intake 5700 and exhaust 6700....also, u might want to do a full tune up on that bad boy.

with as much as i know about SR20 motors, even less about the VE series... i would venture a guess that you could bump the timing up to about 15*, but do some research before you do.

any pictures?

Prob a dumb question, but which way do you turn distrib to increase timing, towards the front or rear of the car?

Turn the top of the distributer toward the firewall.

Hey
My timing was set at 6 degrees before i mooved it. The lad that dynoed the car dose not really have much interest in tuning my car.

Sweet. We'll have to sort out a meeting point before the main one. Then head in together. 4 VZRs. I don't know if I asked you what colour is yours and the other ones?
