Gauging interest in Headers

Ok here the deal the builder of my header are willing to make some more headers for the sr20ve.Please let me know if your interested in them .I will post dyno sheets later this week I have to scan it. This header made 10-15 more hp than Fuji headers. This is the best headers you can get for a ve better than 6 gen. Im not here selling dreams like others.I am not making any money on this. Not sure if it will clear Ac because I don’t have AC.Let me know he said it take 2-4 weeks to build and should be a go after Christmas Price looking at 650-750 not sure as yet But its worth it .My old car ran 12.8@105mph with these headers with n1 cams. These headers are proven by track time and dyno# let me know.

a few questions
is this SS?
What is the inner diameter and what does it step to?
what does the merge collector open into (pipe size)?
Is he willing to make a modified version of the same thing for a few more $$?

Thanks
Chris

I will take some measurements tonight. It will be all SS and the flange will be fully welded. In that pic it it was just spot welded. From off my head the cone goes from 3 inch to 2 1/2 and flare out back to 3 inch.Tell me the spec's you want and i will talk to him and see if he has the sizes .

Hmm I like the sound of this. I'm curious about the 2.5" neck down though, is there a specific reason for it?

Its a venturi to speed up exhaust flow.

How does this move around the powerband. IIRC your car revs a lot higher than most.

Is this going to be a one time only thing or will he still be able to do it in say 6 months?

Peak power is @ 7300 rpms with header so it will be fine with a 8k limit. On the 200sx it holds power to 9k does not drop off much.

so if this header made 10 more horsepower than a fujitsubo with N1 cams, it should make 7 more with regular 16ve cams and 4 more with sr20 cams?? how much is this compared to stock header?

ok, here is what i want and why
Slotted flange holes so that i can shift the header up and down on the exhaust ports to see if i can pick up a little midrange or if i need a little top end.

Exhaust primary length to be between 27 in long this is for a header that is tuned between 6500rpm and 7000rpm. generally road going motors are tuned at max torque and race motors are tuned at max HP this is a compromise

I would like the inner diameter to be between 1 3/4in and 1 4/5in this is calculated from the primary length above to get maximum velocity

I would like the step to be up to a 2in pipe 12in from the exhaust port this will hold good bottomend while still allowing good power above 8200rpm

it would be cool to do another step about 6in from the collector up to about 2 1/8in piping but it's not necessary

keep your collector the same but have the final piece bolt up to 2.5in cat

Then you could run 3in cat back

Let me know if it's doable and if so how much?

Why not go just go with a 3" cat? Thats what I did with my gen6.

I'd buy a set of headers if you could show me a dyno chart overlap with 3 runs on it.

1st run: stock manifold
2nd run: Fuji header
3rd run: Your header

all other variables controlled and eliminated, with a thorough list of modifications over stock. Until this is done, it's all hearsay and no proof.

but yes, if you could do this and back up your claims, I'd buy your headers in a heartbeat.
