I had ACT and hated the feel of the clutch, you have to hit the wieghts for that setup... it was extreamly hard for me to shift gears... i grinded the gears a lot and now something is wrong with themy trans... i just bought a clutch kit for a 2001 B15 from autozone hopefully its just as good as OEM setup from the dealership

My HDSS with all new parts is smoother and easier then my old stock clutch. If you grease it up right the HDSS is smooth as butter.
ACT HDSS, Fidanza flywheel, B15 HD disc... revs quick, hits hard, reliable. Pretty easy to drive everyday. The 2 things that helped were antiseize lube applied to the input shaft housing where the t/o bearing slides and a new clutch cable.
I'm running an 11lb flywheel, stock pressure plate, and carbon/kevlar clutch I got at the local clutch/brake supply store. Works awesome, though the clutch does heat up quickly and become extra grippy. Takes some finesse to couple that tendancy with a lightweight flywheel and accelerating from a stop.
depends on the power up plan on making. a hdss will start to slip once u break the 220whp mark (so ive been told).
stratton.
We made over 400 whp on one of our turbo cars and had no issues with this set up. IMHO I think the HD PP with the street disk is a perfect set up for a NA car.

Not up yet, so can't tell you how it feels yet, but in the car ('93 B13 & VE) is one of the Clutchnet setups. I think the flywheel is 12 lbs or so; disc looks half again as tough as various aftermarket supposedly HD stuff I looked at. I bit, as the group buy organizer had a good reputation and Clutchnet builds a LOT of tough stuff, and the setup was significantly less than the alternatives. Again, the build quality from my experience (owned my own shop) was superb. I'll let you know in 20k how it held up :-). Group by going on now, if Goneturbo is the same organizer, step up and get yourself some great hardware. ASK THEM what they recommend.
jgy 6 puck works great for me, but i do have minimal mods. still, pedal feel is just a bit over stock if you lube the shaft up right (lol), and you'll need to do the copper reducer trick. i love it, way thumbs up jgy! justin..

My HD with street disk slipped on my ve.I think it was due to 8-9k launches on slicks.HD with 6 plucks holds the 8-9k launches. But for street a disk is best.

Forgot to mention - regardless of whose pp you end up with, the stock arm flexes even more with increased pp spring tension; Andreas Miko does a fix; he'll need your original as a 'core' but it's a worthwhile fix for clutch adjustment and feel and a necessary one given stock ones do break. His mod solves the problem.
