hi ppl ...i'm getting a chattering noise when my clutch pedal is up and i'm at stand still but once i press the pedal dowm the chattering stops!!!
this only started happening since i installed a new clutch,pp and lighten flywheel.
what can be causing this ???
well according to you location and your down in Trinidad, ask some of you fellow trini peeps to help find you a new tob *** call you later leo.
throw-out-bearings make noise when they're engaged. it sounds more like a bad tranny, perhaps a bearing on the input shaft that was dampened before with a heavier flywheel.
its a hydraulic clutch ....and the noise only occur sometimes ....we'll i'll change the bearings and let u know if that worked...the noise is like a cha cha cha cha noise...!!!
DID YOU CHECK THE TRANNY FLUID? This is exaclty what happend to my friends sentra xe. The fluid was almost completly gone and everthing was just chattering togeather, he put more fluid in and it stopped.

This sounds just like the same noise that my trans was making before the 6 puck splines stripped out ( which i got warrantied). I replaced the clutch, throw out bearing and even changed the trans. 3 days later it started to get louder again... still doing it now too...
If you let the pedal out very softly and easy it will not make noise, very fast and it chatters..
i have no idea
Here's my current setup...
2001 B15 LSD trans
ACT 6 puck with XT PP
Jun 10 lb flywheel
Stock Throw out bearing, have tried 2 now and no change.
if the noise goes away when your foot is lightly on the clutch pedal, it will be release bearing (throw out bearning). Every single time i've replaced clutch i use a new release bearing and they last about 25,000k's before they start making noise again, very annoying to say the least.
i'm also using a hydraulic setup from a P10 primera (slave cylinder, with gti-r master cylinder and pedal) in my N15 Pulsar SSS (SR20DE) and that didn't fix the problem. So doesn't matter if you have cable or hydraulic setup, it can still happen.
