I have done a DE-T on a 99 P11 and it was an AT. It had S3 cams, a gt2871 and held 15psi and even a few 20psi boost spikes and never skipped a beat. 15 psi all the time seemed ok. probobly high 200's maybe 300whp.

You don't have to lower the compression, just be super careful and do things right if you don't.

I guess it would depends on alot of things, The problem isn't so much the compression but the super weak bottom end, My opinion is that with proper tuning you will run into problems with the weak bottom end before you run into compression issues.

The pistons are pathetic and the rods are thinner. Have you ever seen the ve bottom end? There should atleast be pics of the piston on the forum some place.

The VE rods are the same thickness from the wrist pin to the big end. They are about half the size of a DET rod. Think Factory Honda B series bottom end

Don't forget most of the common VE's have a 4 counter-weight crank and they don't have the girdle compared to the DE's.

That's why it has been posted to run the DE crank, DET rods, etc when boosting the VE.
