Swap starts then dies

I did a search. Here's what I also checked:

1. Made sure TPS, INJ, MAF, DIST are all getting power
2. Read about re-grounding the MAF, but still unclear. Right now with the key in the ON position and engine off, the ground has a reading of .13mv. Is this safe to assume that the MAF needs to be regrounded.
3. Checked the fuel feed line goes to the bottom fuel rail pipe that goes directly to the #1 injector and the return line to the pipe that comes from the end of the rail.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks

Are you sure that you were running 0.13mv -- and not 13mv? Either way, it's probably not causing your problem.

Have you seen this write-up in grounding the MAF?

another thing to note: i bought a used sr16ve ecu from another forum member. The ECU had been opened by someone already as the screws showed wear. The case was all beat up, almost if like if something somewhat heavy was pounding on it. How can I verify if all is good on the VE ecu as well? Like can I measure power coming out of the ECU?

If you doubt the health of your ECU, I can send you an SR20VE ECU to test out. All you gotta do is promise to send it back to me with a few bucks to cover my shipping costs down to you.

Let me know.

Dude, I really appreciate it. But the car started and wow, 7000rpm vvl switch is crazzzyyy.

Nonetheless, you and everyone else who has replied is exactly the camaraderie I appreciate.

FWIW, it is not that big of deal using the SR16VE harness with the b14.
