damaged ve block

Does any one have any ideas about what i can do about this. in post 71 the seventh pic down, right above the crank snout there's a little oil squirter for the chain. on my block the peg/squirter piece is fine but the boss it sits in (the aluminiun part) is chipped a bit.

can i put a little weld there to keep the piece in?

i believe there is only one way to put it back in it's like a peg weld the small in back onto the block
