I didn't know if this had already been posted, but at the convention this past weekend, there was a stripped B13 Sentra E with SR20VE that ran a 13.2...I didn't see the trap speed. It also had run a 13.4 before that.
I am not sure what exhaust manifold or header they are using, and they had an open exhaust. Otherwise, the engine was stock. If I remember correctly, they were also using the stock DE ECU rather than the JWT.
Anyways, something to look forward to for those of you doing the swap right now. Good luck with everything. You should have a monster of a car.
Yeah if it was a white one then it was Tom@Sr20Development he ran that car at carlsbad too but it was like 13.7 on street tires air filter taped or something on the throttle body and DE Hotshot header dangling nothing and I mean inside the car
I heard about that too! Though I was not at the convention (damn!) I did hear all the great stories.
It is a great time, but Sentra Es are VERY light. A guy named John Almazan had a very fast Sentra E with a SR20DE put into it. One of his fastest times was a 14.4 @ 97 with the normal breathing mods (I/H/E), unsure if he was on slicks or not.
I also heard that VE Sentra E was very very gutted - holes drilled everywhere and even Lexan windows! And they were using C16 with advanced timing. But, still a great time.
I would love to see how one these engines would perform in a "street trim" car.

The VE WAS VERY gutted. The guys running it told me that though they used an E model, they probably could have got the SE-R to the same weight by doing the same gutting, since it was SO gutted.
And I believe you are also correct in that they were using C16 gas.
Yeah, it would be interesting to see how it would do in street trim. A Sentra E would definitely be lighter than an SE-R in street trim.
C'mon, Steve...primered circles on the headlights? That is the issue those guys had with the car, if you read the caption. And I must admit that those guys with the Rice! page didn't care whether the car was an import or a domestic.
The only thing I don't understand is that on the stock DE ECU he would be running rich and potentially collecting a lot of carbon in the exhaust ports?
Wouldn't this be detremental to the longevity of the motor?
If it's not go ahead and tell me so and I'll throw my VE in right now and stop waiting on JWT.

wasn't broke. just practically impossible to put it into gear, compounded by the fact that its revving so high.... most likely thrashed synchros. at least thats according to tom the owner of the car....

well thank you for informing me that tom was the owner i didn't know that.... seeing how we fricking drove to az and back together in my car, clownshoes. sorry i was making a joke, its called comic exaggeration
the headlights were on there because they thought it would be funny to paint them that way. but of course, they didnt know that.
when i asked the dude at the website to explain rice he said: "anything with 2 different wheels, or primer, or multi-colored paintjobs, or no interiors are rice." so i said that he thought John Force was a ricer as his cars met 3 out of 4 of that criteria (multi colored, different wheels, no interior). he said he just thought the car was funny looking, and was kind of impressed that it ran such a quick time on the motor. they just misunderstood the car. oh well.
