Started The 204 HP 20V Blue 94 SER On 03/22/06

WHP as of 09/18/06 is now 215 WHP and 160 FT LB Torque. This WHP is with the 4 into 1 header that is pictured below. The power curve was a little choppy on the top but fixed that by richening up the mixture a little. There is another dyno with 216WHP as the back up that is smooth but I cant find it. The power looks like it will hold to 8500 RPMs but I will be safe for now and stop at 8,000 RPMs. Cam switch point is at 4800 RPMs with the new header but I did not change it over in this dyno run. More to come.

WHP as of 03-27-06 is now 209.34 WHP and 155.16 FT LB Torque. I brought the cam switch over down to 5,400 RPMs. The power droped off a little to quick on the top side. So I am going to bring the timing down from 16 where I set it at down to 14 degree.

Hopefully so. It feels slow to me but my friend Nick says it feels really fast. I will just try to take it to the Dyno this weekend just for 2 Dyno runs for a base HP figure to see where it is at. No tuning will be done.

Today was a great day, I made more HP than I thought I would. The car made 204.64 WHP and 143 ft lb torqye. The torque is a little low but I hope to fix that in the next few days with some advanced timing.

Now consider this. I have not done anything to the car. I did not set the TPS I just put it on the TB. The timing was at 12 degrees. Fuel Presure was at 41 PSI.

The best part is I let off at 7,800 RPMs and the power was still climing. Please note I am trying to be on the safe side so I am not going to rev the engine untill I get some valve springs and retainers.

From what I see I think with the timing set at 15 degrees FP set at 37 PSI and with the TPS set at 48 with a 8300 RPM run I see 210-215 WHP with no problem.

I also have not put in my cam gears which I will be doing on Sun. They will be st +4 -4. Anyway 215-220 will be no problem when tuned.

I also now know 250- 260 WHP with 200 lb ft torque will be easily attained with the 2.3L motor.

This was well worth the wait.

Will have the dyno sheet up soon with pics. Just some notes on the Dyno sheet.

From 3500- 7000 RPMS the fuel mixture varies from 13 to1 down to 12 to1 and back up to 13 to 1. There seems to be alot of HP to be added in these RPMs. My goal will be to get the fuel mixture up to 13.6 to 1 across the entire RPM range.

From 7000-7800 RPMs the fuel mixture is about from 13 to 1-13.7 to 1. I will think about getting a SAFC or see if I can get Clark at JWT to touch up the chip a bit, Maybe also I can get him to add a little more base timing in the ECU.

As far as torque goes anything under 155 lb ft Torque is just not up to par for a 2L. 143 lb ft torqye was disapointing for me.

Very good base run Dre. With fine tuning you should be well into the 220 whp range. Very good man.

One thing we noticed with Geo's car is that it loved timing . So the idea of upping the mid range timing would be a real good way of making more power.

Timing is now set at 16 degrees on the distributor. The timing was set at 12 degrees for the first 2 runs. This will help with torque and HP I will guess the car will make 215 WHP and 155 ft lb torque. I will see on Monday.

Fuel presure was at 41 PSI with the hose on, I now have it set at 38 PSI with hose on.

I am now going to get a volt meter and set the TPS.

After the runs on Monday I will then put the cam gears in.

Serban came over and took pics and he also has the dyno sheet.

I will also pull the car up to 8000 RPMs from 7800 RPMs were we pulled it to before.

Looks good!! Nice work and very clean install.

Gotta love that plenum setup. Long inlet tract should be good for some extra torque once the timing and AFR is sorted.
