sr16ve n1????

alright i hear all of this talk about the sr16ve n1 with 200horsepower and a great torque curve on the se-r email list. Can you people tell me some information on this? Is it based on the sr20 at all with a 1.6 liter displacement? Does the transmision and ecu correspond with the sr20de or if I wanted to swap this into my 1992 se-r would I have to replace the whole entire drivetrain...can you guys help me out with some information?
thanks
Tom

Most, if not all these questions can be answered if you read all the various threads in the VE sections. It's becoming loaded with useful information which was the goal from the beginning.

One thing I would like to say.

forget about the n1, you'll have a HELL of a time finding it and an SR20VE with SR16VE cams will yield the same results for probably cheaper. Only thing your missing out on is the tranny, but then thats if you could find one

I was reading up on the N1 last night and it turns out there were only 200 made and they've all been spoken for. Not sure if this only 200 ever made or just 200 in a particular year; I'm inclined to believe the former. I guess I can stop dreaming about an SR20VE N1.

The first link claims that only 200 Pulsar VZ-R with the N1 engine were made:

http://www.geocities.com/danielmaelzer/vzrpulsar.html

This second link claims that a further 300 Pulsar VZ-R II with the N1 engine were made:

http://www.geocities.com/danielmaelz...r_series2.html

So it looks like it might be a grand total of 500?
