i never could really justify the expense of a jwt ecu, and seeing this sort of stuff everytime just solidifies my reasons. Its the reason i opted for a calum ecu(cheap enough)
Thanks for posting your results. I had my doubt about using JWT's ve programing because other people have stated the same driveability problems. Seems like the people with the custom programmings are the ones making the most hp.
uh oh........... BLOOD CLA........ oops almost cursed, ok what the rastageorges is going on?, oh well i will just have to make due. find this quite unusuall though.
is this the norm with all jwolf programmed ve ecu's?
And it looks like you were still able to make a hair bit of more power if the ECU allowed you to rev higher. The powerband for the HP and TQ curve also looks smoother around the 5000-5300 rpm window, while gaining a little more power. Interesting results.

so in essence because the de ecu is used in conjunction with the ve333 injectors, which gives a rich condition, the timng can be forwarded greatly (20* is quite a bit) ?

He most likely advanced the timing because JWT automatically advances the timing in the timing maps on their ECU. He did this because the DE ECU does not do this.
I cant say im overly surprised. My best 1/4 mile times were before i put the JWT ECU and VE injectors in. ALthough for me, the driveability did improve some around town with the JWT.
I've said it for years now and finally people are starting to get the hint. Dont waste your money on a JWT. There is much better stuff out there for what you will pay for.
