The blue is what I would prefer. And 60 psi for the JWT to get these AFRs is out of sight. At normal fuel pressures, the JWT ECU would be dangerously lean -- same issue I had with my JWT VE ECU (B13, DE MAF, VE injectors).

hey im curious to know what would be a better off, currently i have 500 bucks. I swaped a sr20ve into my 200sx 97 the only thing that i have in my car is the engine and i havent done any mods. would it be better to buy a fujitsubo header or reprogram my sr20de ECU with JWT? what can i do first? Also my check engine light is on which piss my off but i think i got used to it

the final fp was ~60 psi with the jwt. it is 50 psi with the oem.
the ve injectors were used in all runs.

which would you prefer?

so you compared a JWT ECU to a Stock ECU (those were the only changes) and you found that the stock ecu can compensate for the A/F better than the JWT ecu correct?

I wonder what would happen if you used a JWT ecu with an S3/S4 program to get a little bit more agressive timing on the VE

Also was your JWT ecu tuned for 93 or 91 octane? if you didn't specify 93 octane they default to 91

It does. With the DE ECU, the timing needs to be around 20.

default to 91 i guess.
my base timing is @25* with no sign of detonation.
hmmm i have heard that the ve is really responsive to lots of timing but! wow.

Exactly, 25* at base timing is a lot. There goes the theory about fast burn combustion chamber helping to reduce detonation. Seems like the sr20ve chamber is slow burning and requires a lot of timing.

I could have missed it in his other thread but it seems like he has been running 25* for both the JWT ecu and the stock DE ecu

No, he was running 15 deg with the JWT, and 20 something with the DE.

is timing really that conservative with the de ecu? and why isnt it possible for the timing to go above 15 deg. on the j.wolf ecu(bear with me just want understand a few things) i must say that is alot of timing(25*)

You can run the JWT with more than 15 degrees timing advance, but it is set up by JWT to be optimized for most applications at 15 using California pump gas. Testing on the dyno will show you what you need in terms of advance. Generally no more than 17 at the outside for a JWT ECU.
