my question is,what settings are people running on the AFC with this type of setup?I have my HI-end set at -18% and -15% in VVL, but my AFC says it is still too rich and i am still shootin fire between shifts.please dont tell me to search, dont tell me just throw it away and use my de injectors.if you cant give a strait answer then dont answer at all because i did a search and all the responces people are getting are not answers that they asked for.thanks for the help as i have no cash for dyno time or a wideband.but my A/F gauge seems to be pretty accurate besides the fact that it only reads well at W.O.T.thanks guys.
That A/F gauge is trash and not very acurate for displaying A/F. Get it on a dyno or buy a wideband. If you can't do that just let it run rich till you have money saved for a wideband or dyno tune. You can blow your motor with that AFC.
Its hard to tell you what settings to enter. Every car is different. Regardless if they have the same mods or not.
The difference in injectors is about 10-15% more fuel.
What we do is usually lean out the car -10% all they way across on the low side just for simple drivability. As for high side settings it is hard to say.
Like mentioned when using a AFC and bigger injectors and a different MAF dyno tuning or wideband tuning is a major must.
Just becareful.

He just did my car with those minor changes to the afc so that my car would run smoother. Its dangerous to mess with it on the high side without a dyno or the proper measument tools...

knowing nothing about a safc i can't help you there. however, i'm wondering why the maxima maf? using that maf with a g20 ecu i'd think would put you further from a good tune to start with. your stock maf is good for well over 200whp so there is nothing to be gained by using the max maf.
i know from experience a VE maf combined with a oem b14 ecu made my car virtually undriveably rich.
your saying the maf is gonna make my car run richer?the reason i used the maf from the maxima is because i say how restrictive the de maf was, so i got the maxima maf to improve the airflow and i got the AFC to correct the fuel.as far a dynot time, and wideband,i cant afford it so i guess i am just gonna have to stay rich.thanks anyways.
Put on the DE MAF. Like mentioned the DE MAF will be more than enough. It is good up toward 200 whp. Not sure why you are using the Maxima MAF. The whole restricted DE MAF does not make sense to me.
The maxima maf has too muc resolution. it bunches all the airflow signals up so the ecu has trouble determining how much air is actually entering.
Put it this way, if with 200WHp on a DE MAF, it is outputing 4V but with the maxima maf, it has say 3V. That is a 33% increase and the AFC has bugger all chance of fixing that problem.
It is a VE, being cheap on such a highly strung motor will mean it goes BANG.
Sell the maxima MAF, get a new DE MAF and use the AFC to adjust things from there. If you need to fit the DE injectors, then fine...
