ve-t questions

Well, i just finished my ve-t install in the nx.

The only thing that i am leary about is running my jwt ecu for the de on it.

JWT ecu program is:

9:5 to 1 comp
72lb inj.
z32 maf
s4 cams
no egr
no rev limiter.

I have serched and didn't find anything on anyone running a turbo ecu with the ve-t. It feels like there are alot of flat spots when getting on it a bit, tps set at .48V and timing is at 15 deg.

How much power will be i losing due to not enough timing as the ve and de timing curves vary alot.

on a side note the "motor" runs great, just breaking it in.

motor:
sr20ve
mossy metal headgasket
8CW crank & girdle
gti-r pistons (9.2:1 comp total)
det rods
new nissan rings & bearings
arp headstuds, mains and rod bolts
new vvl timing chain tensioner
CS vvl top feed fuel rail & 6-AN lines
72lb inj.
z32 maf
EQ length manifold & gt3071r, tial 35mm
12" x 28" x 3"IC

comments welcome.

thinking about getting a calum ecu with base maps and rom burner. I have an old laptop here collecting dust that has win 98 on to program.

edit: added pic

JWT does not a a specific VET program. They just use their standard DET comps. There will be no problems.

You should be just fine man, just get the MSD triggers or a Greddy MSS to switch those cams and you are set! Looking great!

yeah, i do. 8969 to switch the cams at 4000 rpm. I only have 160 miles on it so far. Not revving her yet as i doing my best to seat the rings "properly",not beating it, but also not babying it.

I ran a JWT programed for a DET with 740cc injectors and Z32 MAF on my VET build. The car ran fine. I straped her on the dyno for some baseline pulls at 9 psi and it was picking up more and more HP as I kept advancing the timing. I then later decided to go with an EMS to get the best tune available for my setup.

Your switching the cams too low...more it higher to around 53oo-55oo RPMs. I had it switching that low and I was losing a lot of power.

^the only way to get the perfect cam switch points are to do so on a dyno...but until you get on a dyno, you have to go by SOTP

track numbers are worth sh*t if youre not set up right. Proper tuning = power. You cant expect to put a turbo kit on a car and make it run good 1/4 times.

My JWT ECU worked fine for me. Have you ever been to a drag strip?
