with some right tunning, it should help. find somebody that now the system, don't try to do it yourself, if you don't know what are you doing.

I would not say pointless. the safc with a right tunning, is perfect to complement your ECU. since you can upgrade fuel maps on 200RPM's sections. you go to a dyno and clean-up your power band, and your air-fuel mixture graffic. good luck. many people are gonna tell you a million different things, but at the end, you decide for youreself. good luck. hope you good numbers...

the stock fuel maps suck you can always make more power with fine tuning.

its not worth it on a STOCK car..it is on a car that already has a tuned setup and you just need something to FINE tune

You guys are playing with the words. 'Fine' tuning is a relative term.

SAFC is more of a band-aid/piggy-back tuning option. I think he's thinking a stand-alone is for 'fine' tuning.

i meant it if you have say, a jwt ecu and want that extra bit of power, then fine an safc is ok..but nothing beats a standalone

wouldnt a v-afc have worked out better? .. at least with that he might have been able to play with the vvl engagement points.

V = Vtec we have VVL... We control our VVL activation points using window switches (MSD Box, Greddy MMS) or standalones that have that feature... IE: EMS

yes its worth it.I have an S-AFC on my car with a g20 ecu and it made a world of difference.all these guys that say it aint worth it on a stock car are wrong.but with that being said,i would just get a greddy e-manage ultimate and tune your car that way.

I have a vzr with sr16ve and standard ecu, mods are;de-cat,cat back and manifold soon to be fitted also have induction kit.My car runs way too rich when cams come on i've seen it drop to 10.1 at one point, would the safc be the best way of leaning it out a bit or would there be a cheaper or simplar option?
