Timing with the UR pullies and the VE.

I have a DE bottom end and a VE head with the UR pullies. I'm trying to figure out the timing marks on the pulley. I know what they were when they were installed on a DE motor back years ago, but the UR directions are telling me that the first mark is for zeros and not -5 degrees. Any thoughts?

The directions tell you if you motor (really car) was made from 4/90 and back that the first mark is 0 degrees. I believe this would really on hold true if the motor was stock in your car. I have a totally different motor then what came with the car. This is just my thought though. I be 100% certain of the timing though Avshi, run the stock pulley, set it and then swap it out. That is that only thing that I can think of. I'm running the UR setup on my DE bottom end so I don't have the stock setup anymore. I know the pullies that I have are -5 degrees because I used them on my old car a few years back. When I originally typed this I was pretty tired adn delirious from working out in the heat.

Take a stock pulley and match it up to the UR. Check and see if the timing marks line up. Make sure the crank slot on both pullies are matched and then compare the timing marks. Hopefully I relayed my message correctly....

I rotated the car to TDC and then checked the pulley and found it to be the -5 degrees model (I thought it was).
